The tennis team experienced a season with a memorable victory against a tough opponent. After months of practice and matches, players are now reflecting on their best moments.
One standout event was the team’s performance against a tough opponent.
“They were known to be a pretty good team,” Charlie Forman said. “(Lakeshore) had beaten us earlier in the season, and when every single one of us went out there, it honestly wasn’t even that close. Everybody took care of business.”
The match ended in a decisive 7-1 victory for the team.
The varsity team relied on a mix of experienced juniors and seniors, as well as several new freshmen. While seniors closed out their high school tennis careers, the freshmen gained valuable experience to build on.
“I didn’t think I was going to make it, but I’m glad that my coach gave me a chance,” freshman Cameron Roelof said. “I’m hoping we can get some new players. I’ll be practicing all year, so hopefully I’ll be able to move up and have a better season next year.”
